Under Construction

Toward the end of the 19th Century and into the 20th Century, America caught a 'fever'. It looked a great deal like the traveling 'salvation' shows or medicine man wagons, but it was different. It was, like the 'salvation' shows, presented in a tent. But it neither advocated the road to heaven nor the 'cure all' remedies of the medicine man.

The Chautauqua tent offered a chance for the wide ranging citizens of the United States to keep up with the latest details of their culture. It had great speakers, demonstrations and showings of the latest cultural changes, theatre, and more. It was an attempt, and a rather successful one, to 'spread the wealth' of the American culture to the ordinary man in the far flung reaches of the Republic.

It is with that same thought in mind that Chautauqua Tent US came into being. A place where everyone could find some of the pieces of our current Digital Age Culture. It is meant to address a perceived need for the 'average user' to find what they need in the digital world, to keep pace, to be informed, and to sample freely.
